Hi, I’m Julie
I live in New York City.
I’ve been an IT professional for the last 13 years and what a run that was! I spent most of those years as a contractor and worked IT in a number of industries and for some pretty big firms.
The downside to being a contractor (if there is one really) is at the end of a contract – when it’s time to start looking for a job or have one lined up before the current contract ends. As a technician, I was never out of work for very long. But, the last economic downturn changed the playing field – I was looking for work for over a year.
So why internet marketing?
I love IT but after my last assignment, I felt it was time for the next revolution.
At my last job, I was sometimes allowed to work from home. As my contract came to an end, I started investigating work from home opportunities and internet marketing seemed the best fit.
I bought e-books, joined membership sites to educate myself. What I was missing was a coach. After about 3 months of “winging it”, I started training with a few coaches who showed me different marketing techniques and I came across a coach who is training me to run a business.
Enter Alex Jeffreys
I created a blog to document my journey to online success.
Why write about it in a blog?
Well, this is my opportunity to share with you all that I’ve learned and all that I am learning through Marketing With Alex [Jeffreys].
One of my favorite quotes is:
Learn from other people’s mistakes, you can’t afford to make them all yourself
Some of my background I think I blurted out in my very first blog post
Confessions of An Newbie Internet Marketer

hi Julie
new york!!! i live in downtown perth australia – it just doesn’t have the same ring to it as NEW YORK – i will get to NY one day.
“trust the universe – and have fun” – very refreshing. the universe wants us to be happy now, today, not waste years of our life agonising until we reach the holy grail ie become a so called top dog on the internet
may our paths cross at the top (i think you might be some fun)
warmest wishes
dawn

Hi Dawn,
Thank you for visiting my blog.
I must apologize for the brief reply – I was up all night looking at the new mobile marketing system that launched Aug 3rd. I have no doubt our paths will cross at the top
Take care.
